On May 20th-21st 2024, as part of our Genesis event, ROCCO will host the ROCCO IOO Stories: speeches from various visionaries of the ROCCO IOO top 25. They will tell us details of their lives that have made them stand out in the industry.

Heba AbdelGhafar, Senior Roaming Wholesale Manager International Business Division at Rakuten Mobile will present Every Remarkable Journey starts with a Single Step at the ROCCO IOO Stories.

Heba AbdelGhafar

Heba has accumulated over 12 years of professional experience, holding diverse positions in Telecommunications and Media. Starting at Vodafone Egypt, she excelled in Financial roles such as Fixed Assets Accountant, Senior Revenue Accountant, and Senior Financial Reporting Analyst. Transitioning to Media in Bahrain and Kuwait, Heba demonstrated her versatility as a TV and Radio News Anchor, Editor, and Reporter producing and presenting various programs and interviewing top officials globally. She also served as a MC and Voice Over Artist. Returning to Telecommunications with Japanese MNO Rakuten Mobile, Heba joined the International Business team at the startup phase, playing a pivotal role in shaping processes and navigating challenges. Initially as Carrier Relations Manager, she oversaw Voice and SMS partnerships and settlements. As Senior Roaming Wholesale Manager, she served as a cornerstone in building Rakuten’s bilateral roaming footprint. She spearheads IOT negotiations, roaming agreements and rollout, while strategizing revenue and cost optimization, and fostering global partnerships.
